Dial Up FAQ's - Email

Checking E-mail from the www.youtele.com website.
We have provided web-based E-mail mails even when you are away. You can check your e-mails from any part of the world, by visiting the 'Email' link on our web site. Provide your login ID and password and you will be able to view all the mails in your E-mail Inbox. All your incoming emails are received in the Inbox.

Setting up a new E-mail account in Outlook Express.

1. In Outlook Express Mail choose Tools >> Accounts >> Add >> Mail. This will open the Internet Connection Wizard.
2. In the 'Display Name' text box, enter the name that you want to appear in the 'From' field of out going messages, and click 'Next'.
3. In the E-mail address text box enter your E-mail address and click 'Next'.
4. The internet connection wizard asks you to specify the type of server that will be used for incoming mail and the names of the server for the servers for incoming mail and outgoing, as follows:
   Incoming mail server type: POP3
   Incoming mail server: getmail.youtele.com
   Outgoing mail server: sendmail.youtele.com
5. In the Internet mail Logon dialog box, enter the e-mail address and your current password and click 'Next'.
6. In the 'Friendly Name' dialog box, enter a name for your email account in the text box, and click 'Next'.
7. In the 'Choose Connection Type' dialog box, click on the option button that corresponds to your type of Internet connection i.e. phone line, local area network or manual then click 'Next'.
8. The wizard selects the type of modem you are using. If the wizard selects a wrong modem, click the down arrow and select another modem from the list and click 'Next'.
9. In the Dial Up Connection dialog box, select the option that applies to your situation. Are you creating a new connection or connecting to an existing one? Then click 'Next'.
10. In the phone number dialog box enter any of the YOU Telecom Dial Up numbers and then click 'Next'.
11. The wizard will again ask for a Username and Password. Enter them and click 'Next'.
12. In the 'Connection Name' field, enter a name for your dial-up connection, and click 'Next'.
13. Finally, in 'Congratulations' box click on 'Finish'.

1. In Netscape Messenger, click on Edit > Preferences > Mail & News Groups.
2. In the 'Identity' tag, give your personal information. Click on 'Attach my personal card to the message (as a VCard).' If your personal card is not setup, it will pop up by itself. Provide the information for your personal vCard (Note: This will send all the information provided by you in the vCard to all the mail recipients).
3. In the 'Mail Servers' Tab, click on 'Add' to provide information regarding to the incoming mail server. Provide the following information:
   In mail server, provide the YOU Telecom mail server address "mail.worldgatein.com".
   Select POP3 from the drop down menu.
   Provide your user name.
   Select the time span in which you want to check your mail and click 'OK'.
   In the 'Outgoing Mail Server' box, write the YOU Telecom outgoing mail server address "mail.worldgatein.com" and click on 'OK'.
